We often employ the following imaging studies in cancer check-ups:

• Chest, abdomen, and pelvis computer tomography (CT) scans
• Positron emission tomograhy (PET) whole body scans
• Integrated PET-CT scans (used most often)
• Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans
• Bone scans

Most health insurance providers cover the cost of cancer check-ups and imaging studies; however, some restrictive policies do not cover the more expensive tests, such as PET scans. Consult your insurance provider for further details.
