Anne is our newest NP member. She grew up in Michigan and is interested in all thoracic diseases.

Brian Barnes, R.N., M.N., N.P.
Nurse Practitioner
Brian has spent numerous years helping to care for mesothelioma as well as other chest surgery patients and is our most senior experienced Nurse Practitioner.

Wendy Nelson, M.N., N.P.
Nurse Practitioner
Wendy is our "one-of-a-kind" Nurse Practitioner who manages all of our patients while they are in the hospital. Her bedside manner and knowledge is second to no one and her caring has earned her complements from everyone who has ever met her. Patients find that she makes the entire hospitalization far less daunting and mysterious.

Renee Appleby, R.N.
Nurse Administrator, Cardiothoracic Surgery
Renee is the head of our inpatient thoracic surgery area and is responsible for supervising the care of our patients as they recover from surgery. Her years of experience in chest surgeon and incredibly helpful personality help make our patients care much better. She has been extremely supportive of the mesothelioma program and is almost always available during your stay in the hospital to address any problems and cocerns.

Martha is our administrative specialist who has worked in our program for 15 years and is very knowledgeable about scheduling testing, office visits, and working the "ins and outs" of insurance approvals as well all other administrative issues involved in patient care.
